We are seeking an individual with strong Account Management / Client Retention / Sales skills, to join a very well established and growing organisation within the records management industry, who pride ourselves on our core values of Secure, Compliant and Trusted. The role is to ensure strong and personable relationships are built and maintained with a large existing client base, from a range of different sectors – and to upsell all services to new and existing customers.

The successful individual should possess a professional, confident and courteous manner with strong telephone and face to face skills. Previous experience of selling to / or account managing Law Firms or Accountancies is desirable, although not essential. You should possess strong IT skills and be experienced with basic elements such as Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of SAGE CRM is desirable although full training will be provided.

To be successful within this position, you will have energy, drive, initiative and possess excellent time management skills. Working within a small team, you should be an excellent team player, have a willingness to learn and support colleagues where required.

Due to our location and the need to visit clients regularly, you will be required to have a full driving licence.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Commercial Director and working closely with the Operations Team, your role will include:

  • Client satisfaction and retention via regular telephone conversations or face to face meetings. Identifying any issues and overcoming in a professional manner.
  • Account management – re-negotiate new contracts as required and build strong long-term relationships.
  • Upsell all services to new and existing customers.
  • Process new enquiries and provide bespoke solutions in a professional manner (initial discussion, client meeting / site visit, submission of proposal and follow up actions).
  • Build strong internal relationships with the Service Team and liaise closely on a day to day basis to understand and address any issues or concerns.
  • Maintain our CRM system with all sales / retention related activities - and produce relevant reports.
  • Become an industry expert by identifying and understanding competitors within the service area.
  • Work closely with a Marketing Partner to undertake targeted marketing campaigns – to generate quality leads.
  • Carry out customer satisfaction surveys as required and collate / analyse results.
  • Attend business exhibitions and other sales related events as required – to promote our range of services.

Hours of work

37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm)

*Please note, you may be required to work additional hours from time to time – usually when attending ad hoc business events.

£30 - £35k (dependent upon experience) + bonus incentives
